Targeted rehabilitation in the shortest possible time

The short liner is a proven trenchless method for targeted rehabilitation of defective pipelines. It is particularly suitable for local defects and enables fast, economical, and permanently effective repair.

The system is based on an ECR glass fiber laminate that is impregnated with a silicate resin and adapted to the structural requirements of the respective damage case.

This is how the short liner works

After thorough cleaning of the damaged area, a resin-impregnated glass-fibre laminate is positioned precisely in the damaged section using a pneumatic packer system.

The liner is pressed against the inner wall of the pipe and hardens there in a short time (cold curing). As a rule, the rehabilitation area is load-bearing again after just a few hours.

By using through-packers, wastewater operations can in many cases be maintained during the rehabilitation.

When is the short liner used?

The short liner is used when individual damaged areas need to be renovated locally and quickly, without renewing the entire pipeline.

How large is the renovation area?

Depending on the damage pattern, areas of approx. 0.5 to 4 metres can be renovated.

Which materials are suitable?

The short liner can be used in pipes made of concrete, stoneware, cast iron, steel, and plastic – but not in PE-HD pipes.

How long does the renovation take?

The entire renovation, including curing, usually takes only a few hours.

Does the pipeline remain in operation during the renovation?

In many cases, yes. By using through-flow packers, dry-weather flow can often be maintained.
